Laser Hair Removal

How does it work?

A laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.

How many treatments are necessary?

Multiple laser hair removal treatments are needed for initial hair removal, and maintenance (yearly) treatments might be needed as well.

Does hair color matter?

Laser hair removal is effective on hair with color such as brown, dark brown or black (not light blonde or white). Hair removal is for all skin types now. Also treatments involve much less discomfort than in years past.
